Nivethan as part of its social concerns actvities enaged actively in conducting free luch for poor and the deprived regularly in Madurai and also engaged in distribution of water and food during important days and festivals in Madurai. Nivethan also distributes dress materials and stationeries to poor children in urban slums of Madurai City and also to Disabled women through Thiyagam Women Trust in Madurai.
More than 50 health camps has been organised by Nivethan since 2004 for the weaker section of the communities from rural and urban areas in Madurai and districutes free medicines to the underprivilaged people.Recently held camp was on November 07, 2009 which was exclusively on chiken guniya where more than 100 people attened the camp at madurai.
More than 25 students has been provided with scholarships from Nivethan with the support of philanthropist in Madurai for their educational purposes. We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to those who supported us in this initiative.
A community centre where people meet to relax physically and psychologically. Efforts are taken care to fix up regular meetings once in a fortnight with eminent people from various functions along with counseling specifically focused on old age people. The first Chavadi meeting was organised on Aug 17th 2008 followed by three meetings which is organised twice in a month on Sundays at Madurai.
